I don’t know if it works this way for other researchers, but I could search and read for day. At some point however it becomes an exercise in futility as the mind can only hold so many details.
As a result I attempt to write as I read, even if it means pulling out quotes only. The key is something to remind me later WHY I bothered to read the book in the first place .
