When all else fails in writing, I go back to the sources.  I’m so tired today, as I was up inexplicably until 2AM last night, but I need to get work done. I’m reduced to my failsafe, writing up reactions to various sources.

This building block approach to writing history is fundamental, and always a good place to start when you are lost.  In the process of writing, I almost always discover something significant. I ended up working for 3 hours without moving, and got almost 1500 word of actual writing and it only took the second source to spur me to a topic (why feminist artists weren’t anti-pornography and shouldn’t be grouped in with “those” bad feminists)
